In my studio I exercise my passion for design and art by crafting jewelry, sewing, and creating artwork from materials that come across my path.
I can’t walk by a pile of trash on the curb without looking through it. Besides the sense of adventure and the fact that you never know what you will find, I abhor waste. To see perfectly good (to me at least) things thrown out is just a shame so I bring them home and put them to use.
I believe that life should be simple yet full of wonder for the beauty that surrounds us everyday. In design I adhere to the mindset of wabi-sabi, the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. It’s about authenticity and a celebration of the marks that time, weather, and loving use leave behind.
Here I share my interests, designs for living and the things I believe to be of beauty.
